I love being a Peak District wedding photographer! The peak district is a stunning location for weddings and engagement shoots alike, and that’s why it was such a good idea to meet Gaya and Tom in Castleton for a bit of a walk and a little fun with the camera.
We went for a walk up a hill behind Castleton’s ruined castle and by hopping over a wall (and under a fence) we found our way up to the top of the hill with some stunning views of the valley below. Tom got caught on the wire of the fence and Gaya lost some of her items in her bag during a photo and a knight in shining armour came running up the hill to return them to her. Returning down the hill we went to Hope train station and took a few photos in a nearby fields. I couldn’t have asked for better weather for this shoot, although it was rather hot! I’m really looking forward to shooting Gaya and Tom’s wedding at Keythorpe Manor!
Surely the peak district is one of the most photogenic locations in the UK. With its natural beauty, moors and dales, rivers, springs and caverns. Many people like the Peak District for it’s market towns and quaint villages, famous attractions historic houses, not to mention the breathtaking views. With all of this, you can see why this area is so popular with brides and grooms.
