I was very happy to be asked to be the Wellbeing Farm wedding photographer for Andy and Suzanne. They enjoy travelling to foreign parts, in fact, Andy proposed while they were on holiday in Japan and they decided that the venue should be Wellbeing Farm near Bury in Lancashire, a lovely countryside setting with great opportunities to take the natural photographs of the happy couple and their guests as requested.
The big day started for Suzanne with make up and hair sessions and she was then transported to Wellbeing Farm in a beribboned white “black cab”.
Wellbeing Farm, a multi award winning wedding venue set in beautiful Lancashire countryside offers the use of two contemporary barns, an outdoor pavilion and even an original Indian tepee for the ceremony, reception and evening entertainment and relaxation of your guests and for the young in years and young at heart there is a crazy golf course, go-carts, space hoppers and even an outdoor Connect-Four!
Wellbeing Farm is a great place to hold a wedding. Beautiful surroundings, very helpful staff with a full entertainment licence and facilities for dancing, live bands, DJs etc.
The wedding co-ordinator is on site to answer any queries and there are lots of wedding accessories and decorations which will help you to personalise your wedding.
The ceremony itself was held in a barn decorated with bunting, lights and flowers in vases set out on wooden blocks next to the straw bale seating. If a different method of seating is preferred, vintage wooden chairs are available.
No-one needs to be left out on such an important day as a wedding as animal guests are also welcome at Wellbeing Farm, indeed Andy and Suzanne were greeted by the resident donkeys and llamas who, of course, were dressed for the occasion in bow ties! However, as Andy and Suzanne’s pet is of the more exotic variety, perhaps it was best that it stayed at home!
After the ceremony and reception where the gentlemen of the wedding party had the nerve wracking job of giving speeches, Andy and Suzanne made their way outside to have their photo taken on the beautifully maintained vintage tractor. They then went for a stroll along the country lane enjoying the beautiful views and relaxing before the evening entertainment of singing, dancing and even limbo dancing began. I witnessed both epic wins, and epic fails when it came to Limbo!
